This program, is a major focus of Delta Gymnastics. It adheres to the guidelines set down by the Men's and Women's Technical Committees of the BC Gymnastics Association (BCGA). The GBC, a member group of the Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique, oversees the development of the sport within the province. In addition, it provides insurance to all gymnasts, judges, coaches and club directors and volunteers who are registered with the organization.  Boys Competitive Program

Gymnastics B.C. in conjunction Gymnastics Canada recognizes three ability categories of competition for boys - Provincial, National and High Performance. Delta Gymnastics offers training programs for boys in all these categories. All boys newly interested in competitive gymnastics are grouped into our in-house Superman (<10) and Achievement (>10) programs which prepare them for and introduce the nuances of competitive gymnastics. Those who are ready for the next step move into more structured competitive groups. Once it is determined that an athlete will compete, they and their coaches choose what path of competition is right for them.

There are 6 Levels (Named Level 1 through 6) to chose from in the Provincial and National caliber competition categories. Each Level for the most part has several age categories within them, and the skill requirement for each level increases with the number of the Level. The Provincial levels are Levels 1-3 and the National Levels are 4-6. The age categories within levels 1-4 are generally <10, 10-12 and 13 + while Level 5 is strictly for 13-15 year olds and Level 6 is for athletes 16 and over.

The High Performance competition structure has been developed for those athletes with a keen interest in high level competition and requires a great deal of physical talent and dedication. The HP categories are based on your age and there are different routines for every year for athletes between 10 and 16 years old.

For the most part athletes in levels 1-4 will only compete within BC. Some Level 4's and level 5 and 6 athletes can compete in interprovincial and national competitions and High Performance athletes named to age group National Teams can potentially compete internationally.
