Recreational Gymnastics includes:  Girls Gymnastics, Boys Gymnastics and Gym Dance.

Girls Gymnastics:  (Kids ages Grade 1 and Up)
Fun, fitness and fundamentals of gymnastics and lots more.  Great for developing confidence and physical fitness.

Boys Gymnastics: (Kids ages Grade 1 and Up)
Our "Boys Only" classes train on Men's Gymnastics equipment.  Designed to help develop coordination, flexibility, and strength that is helpful in active lifestyles.

Gym Dance: (Kids ages Grade 1 and Up)
This class is designed for girls who like both gymnastics and dance.  Basic leaps, turns, steps and a variety of dance moves are taught as well as the fundamentals of gymnastics.

Fit Kids (Fall Session
Age: 4 to 6½ Yrs
Theses classes are meant to instill a love of being active and fitness through play-based sessions in the halls of the South Delta Recreation Centre. There is a strong emphasis on creative games and play, such as skipping and creative tag games, as well as foundational gymnastics skills, that help to develop fine motor skills, cognitive thinking and improve overall fitness.
 
Preteen Freestyle
Age: 9½ to 13½ Yrs
This class gives teens the opportunity to utilize the specialized equipment available at Delta Gymnastics to freely explore gymnastics based activities such as parkour, acrobatics and trampoline. Fundamentals of movement and safe landing skills will be emphasized.
 
Gym Kids (Fall Session)
Age: 4 to 6½ Yrs
Focused on fun, fitness, and fundamentals. This class is designed for both boys and girls to continue building a foundation of healthy living and physical literacy.
 
Spice Gym ( Fall Session)
Age: 4 to 6½ Yrs
This popular class includes an hour of gymnastics plus 15 minutes of learning a choreographed hip hop dance. The last day of class will be a show day.
 
Trampoline Only (6-8 Years)
Age: 6 to 8½ Yrs
Trampoline is a much loved activity and is great for fitness. The love to bounce starts at a very young age, we start jumping in the crib and later we learn to love the feeling of weightlessness at the top of the bounce. These classes will teach children control on the trampoline which translates into strength, fitness and most importantly safety. The best part is that it is so much FUN!
 
Boy's (8 Years & Up) Gymnastics (Fall Session)
Age: 7½ to 13 Yrs
Our "Boys Only" classes train on Men's gymnastics equipment to develop flexibility, strength and the habit of an active lifestyle.
 
Boy's (6-8) Gymnastics ( Fall Session)
Age: 5½ to 8½ Yrs
Our "Boys Only" classes train on Men's gymnastics equipment to develop flexibility, strength, and the habit of an active lifestyle.
 
Gym Dance ( 6-8) ( Fall Session)
Age: 6 to 8 Yrs
This class is very popular and combines gymnastics and dance. Basic leaps, turns, steps and a hip-hop dance are taught as well as the fundamentals of gymnastics.
 
Gym Dance( 8 Years & Up) (Fall Session)
Age: 7½ to 12½ Yrs
This class is very popular and combines gymnastics and dance. Basic leaps, turns, steps and a hip-hop dance are taught as well as the fundamentals of gymnastics.
 
Girl's (6-8) Gymnastics ( Fall Session)
Age: 6 to 8½ Yrs

Cheer Tumbling ( Ages 12 Years & Up)
Age: 11½ to 17 Yrs
If your goal is to improve or build your tumbling skills, then this is the class for you. A certified instructor will teach you strength, flexibility and tumbling drills. The focus of the program is to learn to tumble in a safe and progressive manner. Beginner to advanced level girls and boys are welcome.
